Gremi d'Àrids, as well, has promoted in recent years actions to stimulate the respect for the environment in the sector, by publishing books, signing agreements with the Department of Environment of Catalan Government , or by cooperating with universities, among other steps.

The well-known Doctor of Engineering Jesús Carrera developped a research ordered by the Gremi to analyse the possible effects of extraction activities in aquifers. To perform his research, Jesus Carrera counted on the assistance of Otger Ferrer as his collaborator.
Decalogue for Aggregate Extraction in Hydric Environments (October 2003)
At October 28, 2003, Gremi d’Àrids and the Catalan Water Agency signed a decalogue for aggregate extraction in hydric environments intended to be the framework for extraction activities in gravel quarries.
